What is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is a non-invasive treatment that encourages the brain to develop healthier patterns of activity. The goal of treatment is to change how you think and feel, as well as your brain on a biological level for better functionality.

What to Expect

Electrodes are applied to the scalp and connected to advanced software which measures, reads, and then interprets your brainwave frequencies. The client’s only job is to relax and enjoy visual, auditory, and tactile cues while the software measures and reflects the feedback.

How Does it Help?

Neurofeedback addresses brain dysregulation. Self-regulation of your central nervous system is a necessary part of good brain function. During neurofeedback, the current ebb and flow of frequencies is measured moment by moment using electrodes to communicate with advanced software. With visual, auditory and tactile feedback the software shows the brain the frequencies that promote better self-regulation. Through a repetitive, gradual process the brain learns to continue the desired frequencies on its own.

Is it For Me?

Neurofeedback is beneficial for kids, adolescents, and adults. Each neurofeedback session is uniquely designed to fit your needs. During sessions we place the electrodes and set desired frequencies to specifically target the identified problematic symptoms. Neurofeedback addresses and regulates brain dysregulations that include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, attention deficits, behavioral problems, sleep issues, headaches/migraines, PMS, stress and emotional disturbances. It is also useful for organic brain conditions such as seizures, the autism spectrum and cerebral palsy.
